About this event

A roaming, non-competitive trad climbing festival that changes crag every year; the 2026 edition was held at the Guano Caves in Montagu, Western Cape, a venue that also suits sport climbers. Beginners are paired with experienced climbers, with courses such as intro to trad, learn to lead and self-rescue, and the day ends around the campfire. Run since 2012 by RAM Mountaineering and billed as the only event of its kind in Africa.

Price and programme details are from the 2025 edition; the 2026 edition has already taken place and the 2026 price was not published on the pages found.
