About this event

GunksFest is a weekend climbing festival in New Paltz, at the foot of the Shawangunk Ridge. The 2026 edition is the fifth and moved from Labor Day weekend to mid-October. Clinics and workshops fill the days; evenings bring a vendor marketplace, contests, panels and film screenings. Organisers had also hinted at some changes to the format this year.
